Turkey unveils NanoAlp micro drone for ISR ops
What happened
Uludoğan, a Turkish defense firm, has completed development of the NanoAlp, a nano-class UAV built for close-range reconnaissance in contested environments. Measuring just 25 cm in length, the helicopter-style drone is slated for serial production in Q3 2025. Designed for single-soldier use, it operates silently and can function in GPS- and RF-denied environments, providing real-time thermal and optical imagery. The NanoAlp resembles the FLIR Black Hornet and targets the same tactical ISR niche. Equipped with encrypted SDR communications, it offers a stealthy, low-profile solution for urban and high-risk operations where larger UAVs are impractical.
